I’m John Radford, the teacher behind Radford Mathematics. I help students unpack difficult ideas, see how methods connect, and explain their reasoning clearly.
Lessons give you room to ask questions and work through the steps that are easy to miss in a busy classroom. The aim is to help you become a more independent, confident mathematician.

Which holiday course is right for me?
Pre-IB is for students entering DP1; mid-IB is for students moving from DP1 to DP2. Spring Break courses focus on revision and exam preparation. If you are unsure, select “Not sure / please advise” in the enquiry form and tell me your current school year.
When do holiday courses run, and what do they cost?
Details of the Spring Break 2027 and Summer 2027 courses, including dates, format and fees, will be published here soon. In the meantime, you can enquire with your school holiday dates, time zone and preferred course. Availability and arrangements are confirmed before booking. The hourly rate shown on this page applies to regular one-to-one tuition; holiday courses are quoted separately.
What equipment do I need?
A reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet. A stylus makes sharing mathematical working easier; we can discuss a suitable setup when arranging your lesson.
Can I ask about a particular topic or exam preparation?
Yes. Include your course and what you would like to focus on in your enquiry, whether that is an individual topic, ongoing support or preparation for an assessment.
Can you help with my Internal Assessment?
You can enquire about support with understanding the mathematics and planning your approach. Your exploration, writing and final submission must remain your own work. Arrangements and pricing are discussed separately.
Can parents contact you?
Of course. Please include the student’s course and the support you are looking for. There is no need to send sensitive information or school records in the initial enquiry.
How are enquiry details used?
